Curatorial

Sacramento Poetry Center Art Gallery, June, 2015 – March, 2020

As curator, my mission was to promote cross-genre work, new and emerging artists, empower those who don’t always have a voice, and to encourage collaboration between the visual art and literary communities. I organized and promoted shows of local artists, coordinated set up, take-down, and Second Saturday Reception with artists. I also hosted the Second Saturday Reception each month which involved: facilitating ekphrastic writing in response to the art and hosting an open mic for sharing writing related to the show’s theme, as well as refreshments and music.
